Business owners will soon be able to offer their customers a secure online payment option, through Republic EPAY.
The Bank’s new E-commerce platform can be set up in as little as five business days and features customised solutions to businesses of all sizes.
It will allow businesses without a website to invoice their customers with a payment button via social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and others.
Those with existing websites can integrate them with the new platform. Business owners can also work with the Bank to create websites that can accept payments via VISA or MasterCard. The Bank will then work with a payment gateway provider to authenticate and accept the online payment transactions.
“The new service has the potential to be a game changer for small and medium-sized businesses especially, trying to bounce back from the economic fall-out of COVID-19. It will certainly provide an easier, convenient way for their clients to purchase their products and services,” explained Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications Sophia Allsopp Cambridge.
She added, “This facility will allow many businesses to take their operations to a whole new level. E-commerce offers tremendous competitive advantages for a business. Combined with a website and virtual storefront, it means 24/7 access to a business’ products and services, 365 days a year. There’s also the potential for new regional and international customers, thanks to search engine optimisation.”
Republic EPAY features affordable packages with low monthly payments; customised reporting; dedicated service representatives offering technical assistance; and on the ground training in E-commerce risks, best practices, fraud management and reconciliation. The service will also include bundled offers that support face-to-face and online payments.
