Christie is Premium Banking Manager at Republic Bank

Barbados, September 6th, 2019– Republic Bank has appointed experienced retail banker, Ms. Joy Anne Christie, as its new Premium Banking Manager, in a continuing thrust to grow and enhance its premium banking services.

The announcement follows the Bank’s recent unveiling of additional premium banking categories with expanded rewards and benefits. Ms. Christie, who has over two decades of experience working with Republic Bank, will lead the rollout of the Bank’s new and more comprehensive range of Premium Banking services.

The new Premium Banking Manager most recently worked as Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing in the Card Services Department. It was in that department where she gained most of her experience, beginning in 2006 as a Merchant Officer, and going on to Senior Sales Supervisor in 2011. She began her career with the Republic Bank in 1996 as a Part-time Teller at the Broad Street Branch, and worked subsequently as Receptionist, and Customer Service Representative, before joining Card Services.

Ms. Christie said she considers it a privilege and honour to have the opportunity to work with the excellent team in Premium Banking at Republic Bank.

“We are geared and enthusiastic about our goals for Premium Banking and I’m confident that we will have the full support of the entire team, not just in our department, but across Republic Bank, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.”

She said Republic Bank’s new Premium Banking product is innovative and inclusive, delivering four categories of premium including Bespoke, Executive, Professional, and Family. In addition she noted, Republic Bank is collaborating with industry partners to provide quality rewards for its Premium Banking customers across a range of lifestyle categories.

A former student of The Lodge School, Christie is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Diploma in Management Programme, and is pursuing an MBA (Marketing & Sales Management) with the University of Edinburgh Napier.
