Your business needs a way of accepting payments easily. The Republic Bank Electronic Payment Merchant Account allows you to do just that! Through Republic Bank's Merchant Service you can accept the following cards:

• Republic OneCard
• Local and International VISA Credit Cards
• Local and International MasterCard Credit Cards
• Cards bearing the CariFS logo
• Cards bearing the Cirrus, Plus, Maestro or ELECTRON logos

But best of all, with your Republic Bank Merchant Service, there's no need to wait for cheques to be deposited and cleared; nor is there a risk of cheques being dishonoured, or payment being stopped. This Point of Sale terminal is able to utilise the merchant's existing telephone infrastructure to facilitate the processing of electronic payment transactions from any Visa or MasterCard branded card and the locally issued CariFS branded debit cards.

The Dial-up terminal is ideally suited to merchants that require the ability to accept electronic payments at a fixed location.

Using the latest in GPRS technology to facilitate the acceptance of and processing of electronic payment transactions. This terminal combines the standard security features of the standalone dial-up terminal with a high level of mobility.

The GPRS terminal is ideally suited to merchants that need a high level of mobility to enhance the customer experience and these that require the ability to deliver their goods and services to the customer.

This terminal is able to take advantage of a dedicated Internet connection that enables a merchant to have multiple terminals operate while utilising a single IP connection. This means of communication allows a merchant to benefit from quicker transaction times with the average transaction being processed in 3 seconds or less (this represents a reduction in processing time on average of 9 seconds) and a fixed month communication cost.

Creation of a Multi-terminal IP environment is best suited to merchants operating a multi-lane service and requiring not just a quicker throughput but also the savings afforded by having a fixed month communication cost.

Building on the experience gained from implementing a Multi-lane, multi-terminal environment Republic Bank is now able to offer a single standalone IP terminal which utilises best practices in data encryption security. This allows merchants operating in a single terminal environment to also benefit from increased transaction speeds and reduced month telecommunication charges associated with both the processing of transactions and maintaining an internet connect.

This terminal is ideally suited to merchants that require the ability to accept electronic payments at a fixed location but require quick transaction times and would prefer to have all communication be internet based.

  The following are documents required to obtain this service:
  • Sole Trader – Copies of Certification of Registration and any form of valid ID
  • Partnership – Copies of Certification and any form of valid ID"s of all Partners
  • Limited Liability Company – Copies of Certificated of Incorporation/Continuance, Notice of Directors, Notice of Secretary and any form of valid Id's of all Directors listed and the Secretary.
