Republic Bank, the Official Banking Partner of Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL T20), continued its support for cricket and youth development by teaming up with the Barbados Tridents, for an inspirational visit to Cric-mechanics juniors at their Harrison College “B” home ground.
The junior players did not contain their excitement at being joined in training by some of the Tridents’ star players, thoroughly enjoying a fun and high-intensity training session, motivational tips, and interactive get-to-know-you breaks.
Marketing Officer, Lisa Knight said, as the Official CPL Partner since 2016, and a sponsor of Cric-Mechanics, Republic Bank seized the opportunity to bring the junior players together with the Barbados Tridents for an inspirational session, in its continued focus on youth and cricket development.
“What better than for these young players to meet their senior counterparts from the Barbados Tridents, and for the Tridents to spend time assisting with their cricket development, sharing tips and generally interacting with and encouraging them. The boys are excited to see in person, the players they watch on television, and this can only augur well for their development,” Knight said.
Speaking about the opportunity to spend time with the young Cric-mechanics players, Tridents’ Barbadian all-rounder, Raymon Reifer said remembering how it was for himself at that young age, he was pleased to see the excitement and interest coming from the boys. Reifer also lauded Republic Bank for their support of cricket.
"Sponsorship like this is very important to get funding behind these grassroots programmes, as this is where everything starts,” Reifer stated.
