After almost 15 years in Barbados, Sean Husain, General Manager Corporate and Commercial Credit moves on to lead Republic Bank (Suriname, NV) Limited.
Several customers recently joined Republic Bank’s Senior Management team to bid farewell to Husain and his family at a cocktail event hosted by Managing Director and CEO Anthony Clerk and his wife Joann.
“Sean can only be described as committed, hardworking, and astute. He has now worked with me, his fourth Managing Director and it is to him that I turn for counsel, historical data and guidance as I become fully engaged with running of the Bank. He has provided an amazing amount of support,” said Clerk.
Amongst those invited and who shared experiences about working with Husain were a cross section of the Bank’s corporate clients. Ralph “Bizzy” Williams, a director of the Bank spoke about Husain’s meticulous approach to his work and analysis of business; Sun Group’s Bernard Weatherhead spoke to the clarity of thought and guidance provided as a relatively new customer while Shane Johnson highlighted the type of relationship enjoyed with a banker, citing that it was one of the key components of doing business with Republic Bank and Husain in particular.
Husain was also commended for building out the capacity of the Bank’s Corporate and Commercial unit and developing the competence of his supporting managers and staff.
