It allows customers to send and receive payments in real time between participating institutions including banks, credit unions, licensed non-bank Payment Service Providers and certain Government departments.

BiMPay replaces the existing Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Real-Time Payments (RTP) systems to provide faster, more modern payment services across all participating institutions.

BiMPay goes live on June 13, 2026.

The below cut-off times will apply on June 12, 2026 for transactions processed under the existing ACH and RTP systems.

The BiMPay Digital Wallet is an optional service provided through a BiMPay software application that provides additional features, including:

  • Request-to-Pay (request funds from others)
  • QR code payments
  • Ability to make payments using an Alias (email or mobile number)
  • Ability to make payments using an account number

  • The ability to make payments using an Alias
  • A mobile wallet experience for everyday transactions

If you choose to use it:

  2. Register using your name, email, mobile number and national ID number
  3. Select Republic Bank as your financial institution
  4. Complete the verification and account linking by contacting or visiting the Bank

ACH and RTP services will be retired and replaced by BiMPay from June 13. These legacy payment systems will no longer be available after this transition.

It is important to ensure your mobile number and email address are up to date with the Bank.

This ensures:

  • Successful BiMPay registration
