Point-of-Sale Equipment Update

Dear Valued Customer,
We’re swiftly approaching our conversion to the Republic Financial Holding Group’s technology platforms slated for October 2, 2023. In anticipation of this, we would like to share the following updates with you regarding Point-of-Sale (POS) Equipment.

Point-of-Sale Equipment (POS): Effective late August 2023, we will commence the rollout of updated POS equipment on a phased basis and a representative from our Card Services Team will be in contact with you to arrange this process.

Important to note, the new POS equipment is being phased in and is only accessible from October 2, 2023 at which time you will be notified of the date to commence use.

On confirmation of activation of your new POS equipment following launch, the below changes will also occur:
• Republic Bank International Debit Card Point-of-Sale Transactions: Customers may be prompted to select the following Account Type (Chequing or Savings) when using the Point-of-Sale Equipment, as some customers’ account type may have changed.

• Settlement Time: The settlement period for your new POS Equipment will now be 8 pm daily, instead of 7 pm. Once settled by 8pm daily, the deposit will be featured next day.

• Discontinuance of Lodging Facility via POS Equipment: For merchants in the Travel & Entertainment Sector (T&E), the new POS Equipment does not allow for the option to input the check-in and check-out dates for clients. Hence this feature will be discontinued.
