Republic Bank Corporate Challenge raises the BAR

There was an exciting climax to the inaugural Republic Bank Corporate Challenge at the Barbados Adventure Race (BAR) obstacle course racing meet, which took place on Saturday November 23rd, at Peg Farm, Easy Hall Plantation, St. Joseph.

Keen rivalries were formed and settled over a series of tough obstacles, with first placed team, Mountain Dew Hanschell Inniss seeing off a stiff challenge from Supligen Massy Distribution, whose second place prevented a Hanschell Inniss sweep of the top two placings, as Sargento Hanschell Inniss came third.

BAR organizer, George Griffith, said the addition of the Republic Bank Corporate Challenge had made the 2019 BAR even more exciting.

“The Republic Bank BAR Corporate Challenge was a great opportunity for teams of employees to have fun with team building, while gaining a personal fitness benefit without the pressure of professional competition. We certainly appreciate Republic Bank joining our team of corporate sponsors, and we look forward to seeing them back for future competitions,” Griffith said.

Republic Bank Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Sophia Allsopp Cambridge said Republic Bank appreciated the opportunity to add to the fun and excitement of BAR with a new corporate category.

“The Barbados Adventure Race is making a difference to Barbados by encouraging a culture of healthy lifestyles, a mission which fits excellently within Republic Bank’s Power to Make a Difference (PMAD) programme, so we are also very excited about this partnership,” Allsopp Cambridge said.
